All About Me

Antoinette De Wit was born in The Netherlands and came to Canada with her family at a young age. She spent her youth in a British Columbia hamlet [North Bend] for ten years and then the family moved to the urban setting of Burnaby, a suburb of the City of Vancouver in the province of British Columbia, Canada.

Antoinette attended high school at Moscrop Junior High and Central Senior High in Burnaby. She then went on to graduate from Simon Fraser University where she completed a program focused on French Canadian Studies. She also has a BA from the University of Ottawa and a BEd from the University of British Columbia.

Her interest in creative analysis and logical reasoning started from studies in sociology and philosophy, and she enjoys expressing those findings metaphorically in her poetry and short story writing.

She is an elected member of the Board of Directors (Director of Communications) at La Cabana Beach Resort and Casino in Aruba, and she resides in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. She enjoys the diversity that both responsibilities bring to her life.
